Meet Dr. Jennifer Styons, Medical Director

Dr. Jennifer Styons grew up in Texas where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Abilene Christian University. She worked as a NICU/PICU nurse for six years before attending medical school at Texas Tech Health Science Center. Following medical school, she completed a combined residency in Pediatrics and Anesthesia at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She finalized her training with a Pediatric Anesthesia fellowship at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. She is currently board certified in Pediatrics, Anesthesia, and Pediatric Anesthesia. Memberships include the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Society of Anesthesia, Society of Pediatric Anesthesia, and the Society for Ambulatory Anesthesia.

Dr. Styons joined the Valleygate team part-time in July 2023 providing services at the Fayetteville location. She immediately fell in love with the joyful spirit of service among the team members and became a full-time employee in August 2024. She looks forward to carrying on that service and mission at the Garner location. Dr. Styons’s favorite part of her job is helping children with special needs and their families to reduce anxiety and create a calming experience.

Dr. Styons lives in Holly Springs with her husband and five children. She is an avid listener of classic country music with a special passion for Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson. When not working or raising her children, she enjoys throwing darts with her family and trying out local breweries with her husband. She travels to Texas often to visit her family and enjoy her waterfront lake house.
